An Alternative Anatomy Atlas

Living in a corner of our world overshadowed by discrimination, racism, homophobia; as a former neurologist, now an artist, I imagined an anatomy atlas that reveals the insides of people from different ethnicities and gender identities. Have you ever glanced at a classical anatomy atlas? White man, white woman anatomy. A mirror of the world's order. This series is created with the hope of a world where everyone is accepted with all their differences, where people empathize, and where everyone can be proud of their colors. The purpose of this series is to remind viewers that we are all the same with our flesh, bones, veins, nerves, and emotions; that the world is beautiful with our colors. While some paintings have surreal touches, the anatomical figures are true to life. The series was produced between 2022-2024 and consists of 11 oil paintings. Some were made with playfulness, others with tears.
